Categories

• Category pages: every category now has its own page, such as /category/mugs, showing its name and products. Change their design once with the new Category template in the editor. Publish your site once to turn them on.
• Categories block: show your categories on any page as picture tiles or buttons. Add a picture to a category in Categories, or it uses its first product's photo.

Links

• Link to a category or a product: menu links, footer links and buttons can now go straight to a category or a product, picked from a list. They follow it if you rename it.
• Fixed: a menu link you typed to a product page, such as /product/blue-mug, no longer disappears when you open the editor.

Gift cards

• Sell gift cards: a new Gift card product type. Set the amounts shoppers can pick, and Payly emails each card's code once it's paid. Shoppers can send a card to someone else, with a message.
• Pay with gift cards: customers type their code in "Discount code or gift card" at checkout. A card pays as much as it can, and they pay the rest by card or PayPal. Publish your site once so your checkout takes gift cards.
• At your counter: sell plastic or digital gift cards in Point of sale, and take them with the new Gift card button.
• Gift cards screen: a new Gift cards screen in your site dashboard. Create cards by hand, search, change a balance, send the email again or turn a card off.
• My account: customers see their gift cards and what's left on them.
• Reports: a gift card counts as a sale when it's spent, not when it's sold. The Sales report shows gift cards sold and what's still on them.

Point of sale

• Split payments: take part of a sale in cash or another way, and the rest with a different payment.

Point of sale

• Sell in person: a new Point of sale screen in your site dashboard. Take cash, record other payments, or take cards with a Stripe card reader.
• Card readers: add a Stripe card reader in Settings, Payments.
• Store address: a new Store address in Settings, General. The point of sale opens once it's saved, and in-person sales are taxed at this address.
• Orders: in-person sales are marked "In person", with their own filter.
• Turn it off: a new Point of sale switch in Settings, Features.

• Its settings are now grouped into boxes: Store details, Language and currency, Store address and Cookie banner.

Close your own tickets

• Open a ticket in the Help window and press Mark as closed. Replying opens it again.
• Each ticket shows which site it is about and what it is about.

Your support tickets in the Help window

• Your tickets: Contact support now lists the tickets you have sent, with their status: Waiting for Payly, Payly replied or Closed.
• Read and reply: Open a ticket to see the whole conversation and reply right there. Replying to a closed ticket opens it again.

Place your WhatsApp button anywhere

• Manual placement: a new Button position in Integrations, WhatsApp. It hides the corner button so you can place the button yourself.
• WhatsApp button block: a new block in the Marketing group. Put it on any page.
• Header menu: a new "Show WhatsApp button" switch, with its own text, look and colors.
• Button order: drag the search, WhatsApp, account and cart buttons in your header menu into any order.
• Next to Add to cart: a new "Show WhatsApp button" switch on the Product details block.
• Product in the message: on a product page, the WhatsApp message names the product and links to it. Turn it off or write your own message in Integrations.

Your own currency symbol

• Currency symbol: Type your own symbol, or leave it empty to show prices without one. You'll find it in Settings, under Currency.
• Symbol position: Choose whether the symbol goes before or after the price, with or without a space.
• Your store, checkout, receipts, customer accounts and order emails all use it. Republish your store after a change so every page shows it.

Background photos on sections

• Focus point: Drag the dot to the part of the photo that should always show, so it never gets cropped out on smaller screens.
• Show the whole picture: A new switch that makes the section tall enough to show the entire photo, with nothing cropped.
• You can set both of these separately for desktop, tablet and phone.
• The editor now crops background photos the same way your live store does.
