Why sellers move from WooCommerce

WooCommerce is free to download. Running it is another matter.

Free to download, not to run

You pay for hosting, and WooCommerce's own estimate for most stores is $25 to $350 a month.

Extensions add up

Paid extensions run $29 to $299 a year each, and many stores need several.

Upkeep never ends

WordPress, WooCommerce, your theme and every plugin need updates, testing and security patches. WooCommerce's own cost guide says owners often underestimate this.

Pages that load instantly

Payly stores are pre-rendered and served from Cloudflare's global network, so shoppers never wait on a spinner.

Honest answers

Is Payly really free?

Yes. There is no monthly fee, no transaction fee and no paid tier. Stripe and PayPal charge their standard processing fees, as they would on any platform. How can this possibly be free?

Do I need WordPress or hosting?

No. Payly is a complete store with hosting included, on your own free Cloudflare account. There is nothing to install.

Can I bring my WooCommerce products?

Yes. Type your store's address or upload WooCommerce's product export. Names, descriptions with their formatting, prices and sale prices, photos, variations, stock, categories and tags all come over. Nothing changes on your WordPress site.

Can I keep my domain?

Yes. Add it to your free Cloudflare account and attach it to your store. The domain stays yours, wherever you bought it.

What's the catch?

Stripe and PayPal charge their standard processing fees, as they would anywhere. Your store runs on your own free Cloudflare account, which comfortably covers most stores; a very busy store may need Cloudflare's $5 a month plan, paid to Cloudflare. And Payly has no plugin directory, so if you rely on a particular plugin, check that Payly covers what it does.

What if I want to leave Payly?

Export your products any time as a Shopify or WooCommerce file. Your store is yours.
