Why Payly

Paid bookings, no paid plan

Put a price on a service and clients pay when they book, with PayPal or a card. Payly charges no monthly fee, no booking fee and no commission. PayPal and Stripe charge their standard processing fees, as they would on any platform.

Works with your Google Calendar

Connect Google Calendar and your busy times are blocked on your page. Each booking goes into your calendar, with a Google Meet link if you meet online.

Reminders and changes handled

Clients get a confirmation and a reminder by email, with Add to calendar links, and can cancel or pick a new time until the cutoff you set.

Calendar Bookings

Google Calendar sync

Busy times in your Google Calendar blocked on your booking page, and each booking added to your calendar, with a Google Meet link if you like.

Paid bookings

A price on each service, paid with PayPal or a card when the client books, and refunds from the booking.

Booking on your website

Your booking calendar inside your own website: on a page, as a pop-up button or as a link, and as a block on Payly sites.

How Calendar Bookings works in Payly

You set the services and hours. PayPal or Stripe collects each payment.

  1. Create a booking page

In Your sites, click New and choose Calendar Bookings. Start from a template or from scratch.

  2. Add your services and hours

Give each service a length and a price, or make it free. Then set the hours you take bookings on each day of the week.

  3. Connect PayPal or Stripe, then publish

Your booking page runs on your own free Cloudflare account. Share its link, or add it to your own website.

How can this possibly be free?

It is the first thing everyone asks, so here is the honest answer: We're an official PayPal & Stripe partner, and that partnership allows us to run this platform - so we don't charge you anything. Your store runs on your own free Cloudflare account, so there is no hosting bill for anyone to pass on to you. There is no paid tier, no trials, and no features are held back. We won't sell your information and we won't advertise on your site.

Honest answers

Is Payly really free for bookings?

Yes. There is no monthly fee, no booking fee and no paid tier. PayPal and Stripe charge their standard processing fees on paid bookings, as they would on any platform. How can this possibly be free?

Is it cheaper than Calendly?

Yes, for paid bookings. Calendly takes payments only on its Standard plan or higher: $10 a month per person billed yearly, or $12 billed monthly. Payly has no plan to buy. Stripe or PayPal charge their standard processing fees with either one. For example, 20 paid $50 bookings a month by card through Stripe in the US cost $35.00 in Stripe fees. In all, that comes to $45.00 to $47.00 a month with Calendly, and $35.00 with Payly.

How do clients pay?

With PayPal or by card through Stripe, when they book. Connect both and clients choose. The money goes straight to your own account, and Payly never holds it.

Can bookings be free?

Yes. A service with no price is booked with no payment, and free and paid services can share one page.

Can two clients book the same time?

No. Each time is booked once, or by as many people as a group class holds. While a client pays, their time is held for 30 minutes.

Can clients cancel or change their time?

Yes, up to a cutoff you set, such as 24 hours before. Their confirmation email has links to cancel or pick a new time. Payments are not refunded automatically: you decide, and refund from your dashboard.

Can I add it to my own website?

Yes. Copy the code from Share and paste it into your website to show the calendar on a page, or a button or link that opens it. On a Payly store or site, add the Booking block.

How many booking pages can I have?

Each booking page runs in your own Cloudflare account, like a form. Cloudflare's free plan holds up to 100 forms and booking pages in one account, fewer if it also holds stores. Its $5 a month plan holds up to 500, paid to Cloudflare. Payly stays free either way. What the free plan covers

What is not included?

Outlook and Apple calendars, Zoom links, team scheduling, text-message reminders, deposits, packages of sessions and repeating bookings are not supported.

What Cloudflare’s free plan covers

Payly puts no limits on your store. It runs on your own Cloudflare account, and Cloudflare’s free plan comfortably covers most stores. Ordinary pages are always free to serve; the visit counter, shop and product pages, your photos, the cart and checkout count toward the daily requests.

Products take almost no room on their own; it’s their photos that count. Orders, customers and subscriptions are kept by Payly, so they are never limited. The paid plan is paid to Cloudflare, in your own account, and only if you ever need it. Payly stays free either way.
