How do I set up a honeymoon fund for wedding guests?

Make one page where a guest can pick an amount, say what the gift is for and pay by card or PayPal. Send the money to a payment account in your own name, so it reaches you directly. Put the link on your invitations, wedding website or a printed card, and try a small test gift first. Card and PayPal payments carry a processing fee wherever you set them up.

Set your amounts and goal

Add up to eight amounts and a line for each, such as a dinner out. In the form's Settings, type your goal, or clear it for no bar.
Connect PayPal or Stripe, then publish

Your page runs on your own free Cloudflare account. Share its link, or print its QR code on an invitation or a card at the reception.

Honest answers

What does a guest have to do to give?

A guest picks a gift, enters an email address and pays with PayPal or a card. The template says gift, but the emailed receipt is Payly's donation receipt. It shows the amount, the date and a receipt number, and says no goods or services were provided.

Can I add cash gifts from the wedding to the goal bar?

No. The goal bar counts only gifts paid on your form, so cash or any gift taken another way is not added. If you would rather not show a total, clear the goal and publish again.

What if a guest gives the wrong amount?

Open Payments and refund it, in full or for an amount you choose, through Stripe or PayPal. A full refund takes the gift off the goal bar, and a partial refund lowers it.

Can I try the page before I share it?

Yes. Turn on test mode in the Payments section of Settings and give a test gift. No real money moves. Test gifts count toward the bar, so pick the day you open the page in Count gifts from, then publish again.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no monthly fee, no transaction fee and no paid tier. PayPal and Stripe charge their standard processing fees on each payment, as they would on any platform. How can this possibly be free?
