20 bookings of $50 paid online is $1,000 in sales, and the business pays the card fees on both sides. Fresha's online rate, 2.79% + 20 cents, is lower than Stripe's 2.9% + 30 cents: $1.60 against $1.75 on a $50 booking. PayPal Checkout charges 3.49% + $0.49. Is Payly really free?
Yes. There is no monthly fee, no transaction fee and no paid tier. PayPal and Stripe charge their standard processing fees on paid bookings, as they would on any platform. How can this possibly be free?
Is Fresha free?
No. After a 7-day trial, Fresha's Independent plan costs $19.95 a month for one person, and Team $14.95 a month per team member. A new client from Fresha's marketplace costs 20% of their first booking, at least $6.
Is Fresha's card rate lower?
Yes. Fresha charges 2.79% + 20 cents online, and Stripe 2.9% + 30 cents: $1.60 against $1.75 on a $50 booking. Fresha's $19.95 monthly plan outweighs that until about 129 bookings of $50 a month.
What does Fresha do that Payly does not?
Fresha lists you on its marketplace, takes deposits, cancellation fees and in-person payments with card terminals, and sends text and WhatsApp reminders. Its Team plan has a calendar for each team member. Payly's booking pages have none of these.
How do I move from Fresha to Payly?
Payly has no importer for Fresha. Make a booking page from a template, add your services and hours, and connect PayPal or Stripe. Then share the new link or add it to your website. Bookings already made stay in Fresha.
