Payly and Jotform at a glance

10

Payments a month on Jotform's free plan

Jotform allows 10 payment submissions a month across all your forms, then disables the forms. Payly has no plan, so there is no plan limit to hit.

$0

No plan to pay for

Jotform's next plan, Bronze, is $34 a month billed yearly, or $39 billed monthly, for up to 100 payment submissions. Payly has no plans at all.

0%

No fee on a payment, on either

Jotform says it takes no fee of its own on payments, and Payly takes none. PayPal's or Stripe's standard fee comes out of each payment on both.

Why people move from Jotform

Jotform is a mature builder that takes no fee of its own on a payment, so people move for its plans, not its fees.

The free plan stops at 10 payments

Jotform allows 10 payment submissions a month, counted across all your forms. After that your forms are disabled until the month resets or you upgrade.

Plans are priced by payment count

Bronze covers 100 payment submissions a month for $34 a month billed yearly, or $39 billed monthly. Silver covers 250 for $39 or $49, and Gold covers 1,000 for $99 or $129, on yearly or monthly billing.

A small free plan

Jotform's free plan has 5 forms, 100 submissions a month and 500 stored submissions. Payly sets no limit on responses and keeps every one.

A form you host yourself

Your form runs on your own free Cloudflare account, so the hosting is yours, not ours. Payly asks you to connect that account the first time you publish.

What you actually pay

A form that takes 100 payments of $25 in a month, with card processing counted on both sides.

Payments a month before a paid plan No paid plan exists 10 payment submissions
Fee of its own on each payment $0 $0
Card processing PayPal 3.49% + $0.49, or Stripe 2.9% + 30 cents, per payment The same, through your own PayPal or Stripe account

A month of 100 payments of $25: plan and fees $136 with PayPal Checkout, $103 with Stripe $170 with PayPal Checkout, $137 with Stripe

Jotform says it takes no fee of its own on a payment, and Payly takes none, so card processing is the same on both: PayPal 3.49% + $0.49 at checkout or Stripe 2.9% + 30 cents for US cards, paid by you. The only difference is the plan. Bronze is counted at its yearly-billing price of $34 a month. Billed monthly it is $39, which makes the totals $175 and $142. At 10 payments a month or fewer, Jotform's free plan costs nothing and the two are equal. Nonprofits and schools can apply for 50% off Jotform's paid plans, which is not counted. Taxes, other gateways, international cards and disputes are not counted either. Jotform pricing as published November 2026.

How payment forms work in Payly

You build the form and set the prices. PayPal or Stripe collects each payment.

  1. Create a payment form

In Your sites, click New and choose Payment form. Start from a template or from scratch.

  2. Add questions and prices

Put prices on the answers of a multiple choice, checkbox or dropdown question, or let people type an amount. Charge the total once or on a schedule.

  3. Connect PayPal or Stripe, then publish

Your form runs on your own free Cloudflare account. Payments go straight to your own PayPal or Stripe, and each payer gets a receipt by email.

Honest answers

Is Payly really free?

Yes. There is no monthly fee, no transaction fee and no paid tier. PayPal and Stripe charge their standard processing fees, as they would on any platform. How can this possibly be free?

Is Jotform free too?

For light use, yes. Jotform's free plan takes no fee of its own and includes the payment integrations, but it allows 10 payment submissions a month and 5 forms. At 10 payments a month or fewer, Jotform and Payly cost the same: only PayPal's or Stripe's fee. Above that, Jotform needs a paid plan, from $34 a month billed yearly.

What does Jotform do that Payly does not?

Jotform has many more templates and integrations, coupons, and forms you can embed inside your own website. It also hosts the form for you, so there is no Cloudflare account to connect. Payly does not support discount codes on forms, quizzes with scores, editing a response after it is sent, or placing a form inside another website. A Payly form is its own page, which you share by link or QR code and can put on your own domain.

Does Payly have limits of its own?

Payly sets no limit on responses and keeps every one. Your form runs on your own Cloudflare account, which has its own limits. Its free plan holds up to 100 forms and events in one account, fewer if it also holds stores, and its $5 a month plan holds up to 500, paid to Cloudflare. Uploaded files are stored there too, 500 MB on the free plan, shared by all your forms. What the free plan covers

What happens when a Jotform form reaches its limit?

Jotform emails you a notice, then disables your forms on a date named in the email, and they show Form over quota. The count starts again at the next monthly cycle, or you can upgrade. Deleting entries does not free up the count.

How do I move my forms from Jotform?

Payly has no importer for forms. Moving means building the form again in Payly and sharing the new link. Payly has every Google Forms question type, prices on answers, and templates for sign-ups, orders and deposits to start from. Create a payment form shows the steps. Responses already collected stay in Jotform.
