How do I collect team registrations and fees for a sports league online?

Put the sign-up and the payment on one online form. Ask for the team name, the captain's contact details and the skill level, and show the fee before anyone pays. Offer a separate choice for people who join alone, set a deadline or a cap on sign-ups, and keep every response in one table for building teams and a schedule.

Charge the season fee once, take a deposit and collect the rest yourself, or split it into monthly payments that stop after the number you set. Each payment goes to your own PayPal or Stripe.

Sign-ups that close on time

Close the form on your registration deadline or after a set number of answers. Late teams see your own message. Turn off Accepting responses to close it by hand between seasons.

You build the form and set the fees. PayPal or Stripe collects each payment.

Start from the Volleyball league template

In Your sites, click New, choose Payment form and pick Volleyball league. Change the sport, dates, team size and prices to fit your league.
Add your roster and rules

Add a long answer for player names, a file upload for a roster, and a checkbox to agree to your league rules. Click Preview to check the total.
Connect PayPal or Stripe, then publish

Your form runs on your own free Cloudflare account. Share the link, or print the QR code on a flyer. Each captain gets a receipt by email.

Honest answers

Can a captain sign up and pay for a whole team?

Yes. Each answer is one registration, so offer a choice that covers the team, as the Volleyball league template does for up to 8 players. The captain pays once. For separate payments, offer a per-player choice and ask for the team name.

Can I stop sign-ups when the league is full?

Yes. Close the form on a date or after a number of answers, and write your own message for latecomers. A team and a free agent each count as one answer. The limit covers the whole form, so make one form for each division to cap each.

Can teams pay the season fee in installments?

Yes. Charge the total every month and stop after a set number of payments, from 2 to 999. The price repeats, so enter one installment. A form has one schedule, so make a second form for teams that pay in full.

What if a team drops out after paying?

Open Payments in the form's dashboard and refund the team through PayPal or Stripe. You can refund in full, for chosen items only, or for an amount you choose.

Is it really free?
