Ticket Tailor's $0.85 is its pay as you go fee per paid ticket, and a pack of 100 credits costs the same. With credits at $0.62 to $0.50 a ticket its fee on 100 tickets is $62 to $50, so the gap to Payly is $62 to $50 instead of $85. Processing is the same on both: PayPal 3.49% + $0.49 at checkout or Stripe 2.9% + 30 cents for US cards, paid by you. Ticket Tailor's fee is yours to pay, and buyers pay only a booking or transaction fee you choose to add. Payly has no fee line to add, so you would raise your price. Yes. There is no monthly fee, no transaction fee and no paid tier. PayPal and Stripe charge their standard processing fees, as they would on any platform. How can this possibly be free?
Ticket Tailor has seating charts, discount and voucher codes, a waitlist, and SMS and WhatsApp reminders. Its free check-in app works offline, and it also takes Square. Payly does not support assigned seats, promo codes, waitlists or reminder emails. Payly's check-in runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install, but it needs an internet connection.
Yes, for up to 5,000 free tickets a year. Above that it quotes a small fee per ticket. Payly charges nothing for free tickets. If your events are free RSVPs, cost is not a reason to move. Free events and RSVPs shows how Payly handles them.
They shrink it. Packs of 500 to 2,000 tickets cost $0.62 to $0.50 a ticket, so 2,000 tickets cost $1,000 in Ticket Tailor fees. Payly charges $0 however many tickets you sell. You pay for a pack up front, and credits do not expire.
No. Ticket Tailor also sends each payment straight to your own PayPal, Stripe or Square account, and neither company holds your money. With Payly it goes to your own PayPal or Stripe account. In both cases the processor sets the payout timing.
Payly has no importer for events. Moving means setting up the event again in Payly: add your ticket types, prices and limits, connect PayPal or Stripe, publish, and share the new link. Tickets already sold on Ticket Tailor stay there, so the easiest time to switch is between events. Sell tickets to an event walks through it.
Your event, your payment account, your guests. The only thing you pay is normal PayPal and Stripe processing fees.
